“For me, art is a form of communication. Although I tend to be a realist, I like a bit of mystery in my paintings.

“Most everything we see is art, and I enjoy using watercolors and paper to record images that appeal to me. Lights and especially shadows are intriguing and add dimension to my efforts.

“As with anything, there is room for growth, and the changes that will come as I continue to expand my horizons are most welcome. Your interest is deeply appreciated.”

Using his artistic ability and creative sense in a commercial environment, George operated his own screen printing business for 30 years. Upon retiring, his wife, Janet, enrolled him in watercolor classes at the Scottsdale Artists’ School and subsequently he has studied with a number of accomplished artists in the US, Canada and abroad.

George’s work is displayed in The Blue Whole Gallery, Sequim, Washington. His originals are included in private and public collections throughout the country and his art has been recognized in both local and international water media events.

Diversity is the hallmark of his portfolio and he continues to seek new challenges and experiment with color and technique. His portraits have pleased many parents and pet owners. George is a past member of Arizona Watercolor Association, a past juried member of Arizona Artists Guild, and a member of both the Northwest Watercolor Society and Sequim Arts. George is presently displaying some of his watercolors in the Blue Whole Gallery, an artists' co-op in Sequim, Washington.
